Danming An is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, University of Iowa, with a primary research interest in socio-emotional development from infancy to adolescence. Her research examines the effects of context (e.g., culture, parenting, family dynamics, peer relationships) and early temperament on children’s socio-emotional development and mental health. She is also interested in advancing the measurement methodology of children’s and adolescents’ social and psychological adjustment, including developing culture- and context-appropriate measurement tools, as well as understanding the implications of informant discrepancies and situational variations in socio-emotional measurements.
